As founder of Ashton House Design, Caroline returned to her West Country roots in the early 90s, having worked for leading interior and fabric designer, Michael Szell. She founded Ashton House Design in 1992, setting out her stall to offer an exemplary interior design service to discerning clients.

Simon is a stickler for detail, making him the consummate interior designer – nothing seemingly escapes his designing eye! Simon has worked in the interior design industry for 30 years. He relocated to Devon in 1992 where he joined his wife, Caroline Palk, to establish Ashton House Design. Together they head up the team, working from the stunning showroom premises in Ashburton.

The ‘estimate queen’ with an eye for colour, Sarah is our senior interior designer. Following her degree in Textile Design at Winchester School of Art, Sarah worked in London for McKinney & Co. After a year spent in Australia, Sarah ventured to Devon and joined the team at Ashton House Design, where she has continued to broaden her knowledge and hone her design skills. She has been an invaluable and loyal member of the team at Ashton House Design for 18 years. Her professionalism and administration of projects is key to all that we do.

A trusted and valued member of the team, Kate is our senior interior designer and has worked with us for over 15 years. After completing her degree in Contemporary Textile Practice at the University of Wales, Kate worked in London for an interior designer and then for the prestigious designer, David Linley. Kate is adept at managing clients and contractors alike, she relishes a full diary and covers many Devonshire miles!

Interior designer, loyal colleague and a real team player. Hannah has a degree in Interior Design from De Montfort University and has been a loyal colleague for over 7 years. With her mature approach she is an invaluable member of the interior design team, working both collaboratively and independently on all aspects of our projects.

Hope is our interior designer with a flair for technical drawing and research skills. She graduated from Falmouth University with a degree in Interior Design and has worked with us for almost 4 years. She brings a wealth of drawing skills and a passion for interiors to Ashton House Design and we just love having a bright young face in our team.

Joë returns to her Devon roots having worked in the interior design industry in both London and Gloucestershire. She achieved First Class Honours in Interior Architecture and Design at The Arts University of Bournemouth. She brings sound drawing skills, a mature outlook and fresh ideas to our well established team.

Harriette is a vital member of our team. She keeps the team and the business in order, running a tight administrative and accounting ship.

Our family pets, Coco and Rocco are regular visitors to the design studio and are brilliant at securing the most comfortable seat in the house!
